Hello, here we are, Christian Holistic Health. I'm Dr. Kimberly LeHew, and today I'm talking about why modern medicine gets aging wrong. And I'm talking about three common lies that can keep you sick and tired and prematurely aging sooner than you need to. And really, I'm sure you may have heard of some of these reasons that we as a society are prematurely aging.
but there is a way to combat that. So don't worry, stay tuned. We're gonna hit every single one of these and I will give you not only what is happening, what the lie is, but how to go around that or how to change that, what to be thinking, what to be doing so that does not become a problem for you. Okay? So if I told you despite all the billions poured into medicine today,
People are still aging faster. They're getting weaker. They're getting sick more frequently. It's lasting longer. They're managing illnesses for the rest of their lives, meaning they're staying on medication. There's not a real plan to resolve the condition, whatever it is. And people are experiencing a lower quality of life, and I don't want that for you. I want you to be aware, and one thing I'm really big about is,
being knowledgeable about not only health in general, but your body. That is so important. No one can tell you about your body except you. And it's, I think it's one of the differences, I guess, that between, you know, when I'm working with someone and talking about patients and clients, when I'm talking to colleagues, there's a generalization about
helping people. But everybody's body is so different with different histories and when you add in the emotional and mental and spiritual aspect of somebody's life, their world, that affects their health so much that if it's not even talked about a little bit so you have an idea then you're missing out as a doctor the importance of what the mind is doing to the chemical soup within the body. I'm gonna touch on the common ones that we know and then in a different video I'll go into the more I think ones that are missed most often. But I think these are important just to be aware so you can start changing your thinking. Because we are so programmed, it's easy to get caught up in these concepts and just go with it because we're programmed to think this way. And everyone talks this way. So it's easy to just fall in the trap.
I've heard it from natural healers and even myself, I'll be thinking about something and as soon as I want to come with a resolution to a problem of health, I have to say, I really just stopping the symptom? Am I getting to the cause? So I'm kind of letting you in on what one of them are, one of the lies. But here we are.
So what are the three lies? Let's dive right in. And let me say one more thing, please. But before I jump into this, and this is the umbrella over all lies and over all health is that God designed your body to heal. The body always strives for that next level of health and restoration. And your body is capable.
I don't care if you're 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 years old. Your body is capable.
your body is capable of healing. don't care if you're 50, 60, 70 years old, there is a next level of health. I haven't spoken with anyone at this point. You probably wouldn't be on this podcast if you didn't have some type of thing you're working toward for health. If you are absolutely healthy to the best of your ability and satisfied, you probably wouldn't be here. So

I just want you to know that God did program your body to heal and so that's what we're here for. Let's get into line number one which are symptoms are not the enemy. Symptoms are not the problem. They are the body's cleansing response. Most of us are trained to believe that symptoms means something's wrong. But in reality symptoms are often proof that your body is working. That is God's design to
push out to trap and push out what does not belong there. So some examples of some of these cleansing responses is a fever. Your body raises that temperature to kill harmful microbes and burn out toxins. Just like gold refined by fire, the body uses that heat to purify. Mucus. People get runny noses and all of sudden they think they're sick.
But your body is producing this mucus to trap the waste, trap the acids, trap the microbes that should not be there, and carry them out of the body. But if we dry them up with medications, if we go to the over-the-counter medicines that say they're helping us with it, we are actually trapping those waste inside of us and weakening our immune system, even though it may serve you
and it may dry up and you feel better and you feel like, now I can work because it's dried up, you are in fact keeping those microbes, the harmful foreign invaders in the body. Diarrhea and vomiting, that's rapid elimination of harmful substances. It is there to protect you. Your body expels things. Not fun to have either one of those.
but at the same time, you don't want to keep it in the body as well. Psalms 139, 14 says, I am fearfully and wonderfully made. The body's intelligence is so bright that it knows what to do. And like I said, it is programmed to go to that next level of health. God didn't design you to be fragile. He didn't design you to sit in sickness. He designed you to be resilient. He designed the body to self-heal.

And if we're looking at, okay, the body is cleansing. How do you handle that when it's impeding your lifestyle, the quality of life? Well, you make yourself as comfortable as you can without getting in the way. And a lot of times I'll tell my patients, I'll say, you want to get to that level of foundation of health and get out of the way.
because the body is always striving for that level of health. So symptoms aren't the enemy, they're signals instead of suppressing them. We want to support the body to heal. We can get comfortable with managing symptoms with natural ways, but we don't want to get in the way of the body healing the root cause. All right, the second thing that we're kind of programmed to do, especially since 2019, very common,
misconception is that we are just let's cleanse our hands. Let's clean. Let's sanitize. We have this fear of germs, but it's not the germ that causes disease, right? Because because Louis Pasteur, the father of the germ fear theory, admitted on his deathbed, the microbe is nothing. The terrain is everything. He admitted he was wrong.
And Anton Bashamp said it is the terrain that is the start of dis-ease disease and the body. So we care for the terrain. As I mentioned in episode one, one of the foundational pieces of health is you getting that terrain healthy because that's your foundation. And from there, you are you have an immune system that just continues to get more and more resilient. So
If we are talking about, know, sanitize our hands, we are talking about disrupting a microbiome on our hands. If we're using mouthwash and different toothpaste that we think is helping our mouth be fresh, we're actually disturbing the good bacteria and we're disturbing the gum line, this mucosa that is so important. Did you know your mouth is always talking to your gut?

It's like preparing it. It's like this. It's like a class for your body to go. Hey, these are the things coming in. Let's prepare it. We have there's so much. know I get really caught up and into this, but there is so much brilliance and intelligence going on with the body that we don't even know there is signaling and messaging and intelligence and
things going on that we cannot see, touch, taste or feel. It's not the five senses. It's something under the radar. But if we, if going back to the microbiomes, those areas we need to, yes, we keep clean and there's sometimes I will use a sanitizer. Like if I'm at a gas station pumping gas, if I'm in a grocery store toward the end of the day, I'm using that on those grocery carts.
If I'm at an amusement park riding rides, I'll probably be using it. But other than those three places, I'm not sanitizing my hands all the time. I think the more cleansing that we do, the more we disrupt the microbiome, which in effect hurts and harms our immune system. And they have found that kids raised in hyper sterile homes have higher rates of allergies and asthma. We're talking about...
the defense system for the body. And when we have this fear of germs, it's created this culture of over cleanliness. It actually weakens our body. We have a natural ecosystem and it depends on all of these different microbes and those harmful cleansing agents disrupt that. So what I would do is get a natural spray if you want and just use it in those heavy areas.
or during the times, the fall, winter months, but in the high traffic areas, we don't need to be overly concerned with cleaning every aspect of our body unless maybe a playground, maybe on a subway, something like that. But really start to broaden your sense of what deserves your cleanliness and what does not.

As long as your immune system is healthy, as long as your terrain inside is healthy, you are going to be able to combat whatever comes in your way for the most part. Now, not talking about the man-made things going on today. That's a whole different conversation, but we're talking about just in a general sense of germs and bacteria.
that in funguses, things like that, that we have to, we feel we have to really protect ourselves from when in actuality our body protects itself as long as we are living right. And, and then that inner terrain is functioning properly. And I'm going to give you a bonus lie of a bonus piece of information, which I've touched on in episode one, but it is key to your health. Okay. But before we do, let's go to number three, which is treating the symptom instead of the source.
This is really come about greatly and I'm happy about it since 2019 is that we are looking at the symptoms thinking if we stop the symptoms, our health is better. But that is more than likely not the case. Let's take indigestion. People experience indigestion. They grab an antacid. They grab a proton pump inhibitor and the relief comes. I fixed it. But no.
The antacids neutralize the stomach acid. You need stomach acid. That's what breaks down your food. It's the only area of the body that you want to be acidic. So if you can't break down your foods, you're going to have digestive issues. The PPIs shut down acid production. And that is also your defense system. So you're going to have microbes coming in, but there's no acid to kill them off.
And so therefore you're also having digestive issues. you know, when we start to mess with the microbiome of the stomach, which is getting lots of publicity, the microbiome, our gut health, we are in fact causing big problems for our own intelligent body to break down foods. If you're not breaking down your foods properly, you're going to have slower digestion moving through the system.

You're not going to break down your foods properly so you can distribute these nutrients to cells and you are going to in fact harm the immune system. you know, we want to keep both our thoughts on treating symptoms as okay, is it a cleansing symptom? And number two, can I get comfortable with this symptom meaning
you know, taming it while not harming the body's effect of healing the root cause. Suppression is not healing. True healing only comes from the cooperation of the body's design of helping the immune system and helping each one of those microbiomes. You know, even in chiropractic, I'm a chiropractor and people would come in, they'd have headaches, chronic headaches, chronic
cramps, asthma and adjustments, an adjustment to the spine would be helpful because it freed up nerve flow. It stimulated these receptors that go to the brain and release chemicals for healing. But the healing also to me had to be accompanied with nutrition and your elimination systems. This is what helps to restore your cells.
Otherwise, I believe we're leaving out a big component of being healthy. So, you know, even despite all the antibiotics, the vaccines, the sanitizers, the drugs, all of the things that that go to treat chronic disease and premature aging, we see that even though we have all of these tools, we think in these answers, they we have gotten worse as a whole. Our health
is worse and what I'm saying is don't so much go to treat that symptom, get yourself comfortable, but figure out what the source is which leads me to number four, the elimination systems. That is a big part of where the source lies. So if you're ignoring your elimination systems which would be number one, your digestive system or number two, your lymphatic system.

Those are your two elimination systems. We're talking about the bowels, the kidneys, the skin, the lungs. These are foundational for your health. So when elimination flows, you'll notice that your digestion is consistent, that you're having full evacuations, two nice bowel movements a day. Your skin starts to glow, your energy rises, your skin looks hydrated. Your wrinkles don't look so in depth.
The discoloration starts to even improve. You don't feel tired and bloated. You know, I can tell somebody's lymphatic and just overall health by just the face alone because under the eyes, the eyes themselves, the lips, the color of their skin, what their hair looks like, their voice, how they walk.
all of these things give me a picture. And then when you start investigating, you start saying, know, start talking about bowel movements and some of the things they experience, they're always clearing their throat or yes, I have chronic ear infections. Then we know the olfactory, the mucus is present. So why is the body producing more mucus?
Is it by what they ate and so then you started you start looking into their diet what they eat on a daily basis most people They usually eat 12 foods commonly meaning almost every day. They eat the same foods 12 foods. It's just a rough statistic but Within these 12 foods, they'll trickle in maybe a few other ones going out to dinner parties or just seasonal and
when you look at someone's typical diet, it says so much about their cellular health or digestion. And then when you start digging in further with, you know, looking at each system and then the, when you look at the symptoms they're experiencing and you start adding it all together and then you add in the emotional and mental part.

you're getting a very good idea of at least where to start. But when you know the systems and you know how to get to that foundation and get that to a baseline that is healthy, the healthiest they can be, and then you go through a process, this is what I do at least over six months, my program Healthy and Victorious.
That's when I know I have them in the best possible position for them at that time. And then they continue to live that way. They have a blueprint and they start to understand their body. You need to understand your body to a small degree. You don't have to be your own doctor, but you have to pay attention to these symptoms, your lifestyle habits. How are you thinking about health? I mean, are you going, okay, I want a hack for...
My hair falling out. What's a hack and people row put these drops on your scalp But why does your scalp need this special attention is what I would ask and then I would start to definitely look at nutrition And I would look at circulation in the periphery I would look at the lymphatic system and how that health of the lymphatic system how where it stands with that person and and then looking at stress and looking at
the mental part of it. And of course I add in God's Word because I believe the Bible is the best and the only really answer for emotional and mental issues because God knew that we would we would come up against particulars and he gave us answers. He gave us how to think and how to live and how to be and not only that he gave us so much more and there's so much to say about that but
Those are really four of the common lies that are keeping people sick that I see just in the last two weeks. Talking to people and watching people and listening to what what their symptoms are. They're looking at symptoms as the enemy, but really it's just a message to you of what's going on. They're in this over cleanliness, even of the microbiome. They want to make sure they drink these green drinks and it's what can you sustain?

And is that drink really helping? And what else are you putting in the system? And what are you doing with the microbiome in your mouth? Because it's communicating with the gut. How are you treating the microbiome in your hand? And if you're putting on these sanitizers and walking into the bank and squirting that stuff on there and you go in the grocery store and squirt their stuff on there, you are disrupting the little...
Group of healthy microbes that support your immune system. So we don't want to do that We want to be wise in our choices with that and then number three treating the symptom without Treating the source. We don't want to do that We want to make ourselves comfortable with natural ways to help the systems But most of our effort or symptoms we most of our effort is going to the root cause of that
problem of that symptom. So we're helping that. And then the fourth thing is, you know, we're getting those elimination systems working properly, bowels, kidneys, skin, lungs, and making sure that they function at a high level because it really becomes part of the inner terrain that is causing most of the problems today. All right, I hope that was helpful. Just know
your condition and your fatigue and your premature aging and your bloating and your digestion, all of these things, they are not your identity. You do not have to live with these common and so-called unhealable conditions. Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made. It's self-healing and there is a path out of this. My particular path, like I said, is healthy and victorious. It's a framework.
that prioritizes how to heal and take someone not only through a process of healing, but you're learning about your body. And I'm doing a lot of teaching along the way of what your body's doing, kind of what it means and what to do about it. And then by the end, your systems are all working properly and you have almost like a manual of your body. It's really, really important. So don't give up.
